A BuckEye Cam consists of 2 parts. The Buckeye Cam Camera and the Base unit. Every time the camera takes a picture it automatically transmits it wirelessly to either a Portable or BC Base. Now when we say "transmit", we don't mean 200 feet or 100 yards, we are talking about transmitting the images up to 1.5 miles!

The Camera Base Unit

The PC Base

The PC Base provides you the ability to have the Digital Wildlife camera transmit pictures directly to your computer. The PC base software allows you to check the batter status and change camera settings right from the computer.

The PC base software also gives you the advantage of having the pictures received from the camera to be automatically emailed to an address of your choice. Or choose the live cam feature and have your pictures sent to your own web page on the BuckEye Cam Website.

The PC Base is simple to use and connects to any Windows XP computer with a USB port. It includes an AC power supply, 6 feet of USB cable, and a PC base software cd.

Portable Base

Since this base is Battery powered and weather proof, the Portable Base gives you the most flexibility regarding placement of the Base. Pictures received from the digital wireless wild life camera are saved to a SD memory Card in the base. The pictures can be viewed on your computer using the supplied memory card reader.

The great thing about the Buckeye Cam is that the Camera's settings are updated from the Base. You do not have to visit the camera to update the settings so the wildlife in the area of the camera will never even know humans are around.

Updating Buckeye Cam Settings

You can expect the same software settings with the PC base as the portable base. All of the cameras settings can be changed in this screen. Once you have chosen your desired settings, click the updated button and the wireless camera will be updated (for the pc base the camera updates when you put the card back in the sd slot). Did we mention this update is done without ever visiting your wildlife cam or cameras

With the Multi-Camera system you can operate up to 30 cameras with either a portable or PC base unit. All the cameras in your system will transmit images back to your single base or PC unit. No more roaming all over the woods to check your cameras. Just go to your base unit or computer.	With the camera only system you can set the wildlife camera to camera only mode, the camera can then be used as a traditional digital wildlife camera. If you decide to go wireless, switch the Camera to wireless mode and purchase either a portable or PC base unit.
